Helping women survive each phase of their reproductive journey through bodywork, skin care, and coaching.
I get it because I’ve lived it.
Skin Care
Skin reacts to hormone shifts in a variety of ways causing all kinds of problems like dryness, excessive oil production, skin discolorations, premature wrinkles, and more. At Rooted in Bloom, we offer a wide variety of facial treatments specializing in treating skin suffering from these kinds of hormonal shifts.
Bodywork
The human body is made up of more than 600 muscles, each with its own functions and purpose. When hormone changes occur, muscles respond, and often become tight, sore, and often dehydrated, resulting in pain, and tension. Massage Therapy offers an excellent hands on approach to loosening up tense muscles and assisting blood flow.
Coaching
While the body reacts to hormonal shifts by causing chaos within the skin and the muscles (as well as internal organs and other structures!), emotionally and mentally, hormones have an enormous impact and often cause unexpected changes that catch us off-guard, requiring expert help and support. Coaching can help you take a step back and ground yourself, while embarking on the unknown, which hormonal shifts often bring.

How about You?
Infertility/TTC
Infertility is complex and often misunderstood. Trying to Conceive (TTC), while separate from infertility, goes hand in hand. When someone is struggling with infertility, they feel like they are in a perpetual two week wait, which anyone trying to conceive experiences. The distinction is that while many women are trying to conceive, not all are going through infertility, yet those going through infertility are almost always trying to conceive.
Pregnancy
Pregnancy is a unique, extremely subjective journey, that is often miscategorized as standard across the board, except it is anything but. While complications aren’t common, the experience itself is vastly different from one pregnant person to the next. And because complications such as preeclampsia, IUGR, placental abruption, etc. aren’t talked about enough, it’s very common for women struggling to believe they are alone. Spoiler alert, complications or not, YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
Postpartum
A common misconception is that the word “postpartum” exclusively refers to postpartum depression. This is not the case. Postpartum technically just means the period between giving birth and 8-12 weeks after. In many cases postpartum is considered birth to 1 year post birth. In rarer (more accurate cases) postpartum is considered birth to 8 years post birth. We call it postpartum+. The fact of the matter is, the postpartum period is also quite subjective, and not nearly supported enough. But not anymore! ⤵️
Perimenopause
Ah, perimenopause… or Perry as we like to call “her”. Perimenopause, like so much else in women’s health and wellness is under researched, misunderstood, and all around not out in the open enough. However, perimenopause is a HUGE part of the story of being a woman. Unlike infertility, ttc, pregnancy, and postpartum, if you have organs that produce estrogen, progesterone, FSH, and LH, you WILL go through perimenopause. And it is like nothing else you’ve experienced.
